Human rights are universally valid and cannot be separated. Therefore my concept series „weDrown“ asks the question: What is humanity leaving behind? With “weDrown” I would like to focus on the alarming development of basic human freedoms worldwide. “weDrown” visually links the rising sea levels associated with the climate catastrophe with the current state of universal human rights: are these also doomed to sink, to perish? With this concept series I attempt to address the “sinking” and loss of fundamental human freedoms in a rapidly changing world… linking the threat posed by environmental change to the erosion of freedom and human dignity.
