Hate is a problem… „Hate or“ is an art project, aiming at a better awareness of digital violence.
„Hate or“ addresses the general awareness of digital violence on a different level: an artistic and visual-linguistic one… with a seemingly ironic, yet serious approach.
The increase in hate on social networks can lead to anxiety, insecurity, emotional distress and alienation from society. I think it’s important to be aware of how your online activities affect your emotional well-being and, if necessary, to develop strategies to protect yourself – such as withdrawing from stressful discussions or specifically promoting positive content.
I see the latter as the goal of my „Hate or“ art project: not to ignore hate where it occurs, but to actively counter it with positive and consistent messages. Hate or… why not do something else? This claim is certainly an idealistic one, but it’s always worth a try. Isn’t it?
