There are two quotes I like most about the nudes genre: "A pretty girl who is naked / is worth a million statues" (E. E. Cummings). And: "When we respect the nude, we will no longer have any shame about it" (Robert Henri).
In contrary to my concept works I experience shooting nudes as a very special challenge – and as a strong counterbalance to my other, mostly unpeopled photography projects. Nude photography can be intimidating, for both the artist and for the subject. It’s sort of provocative, and – that’s how I perceive it – it puts high requirements on yourself and your way to work. On this background I also understand capturing nudes as a way of going beyond my own bounds.
Some of my nude works already have been published, for example by Stern VIEW [Link], Sifimag [Link] and diverse internet platforms – including new digital works like my “Evanescence” series. Feel free to find more works on my Model Mayhem profile… and if there are models out there who like my style & would like to work with me don’t hesitate to contact me.
